The adopted daughter of Phil Capice and Louise Grimsley Capice, Sara-Louise first appeared in the autumn of 1961 a part of a black market adoption scheme designed by dope ring chief Scofield Kilborn to ensnare the Capice and Grimsley families. A couple of years later, in 1963, she served as integral part of Emory Warren and his wife Lyn's plans to collect valuable land from Winston by claiming to be the natural parents of Sara-Louise and demanding a payoff to keep quiet. Lyn was actually Sara-Louise's aunt, and after she was killed by Emory, Sara-Louise was seldom seen. In 1968, she reappeared onscreen as a teenager who was being tempted by smooth-talking Calvin Brenner, a young male attendant for her severely injured father. Sara-Louise fell for Calvin's lines, until she realized that he was responsible for Phil's odd behavior -Calvin was drugging him with psychedelics. Sara-Louise faded from the storyline with no resolution for her character. She was last mentioned during Edge's final week on the air, when Laurie Ann reminisced about their shared childhood.
