Noel Douglas followed former fiance Brandy Henderson to Monticello, but she rejected his advances. A smooth talking con-man, Noel quickly turned his attention to wealthy widow Tiffany Whitney, but one night while dining at the New Moon, he spotted an old friend from Chicago, Tracy Dallas, who had once been a call-girl. Noel reignited his sexual relationship with Tracy, promising her a big payoff if she stuck with him. He continued two-timing Tiffany with Tracy after his marriage in April 1975, and lived up to his promise of setting up Tracy in a nice apartment.
By the end of the year, though, Tiffany slowly began to tire of Noel's drinking and gambling. One night in September, while "entertaining" Tracy during Tiffany's absence, Geraldine, who never approved of Noel, returned home early and caught Noel in the act of adultery. After threatening him and Tracy, she ordered the two to leave. Later that night, Kevin Jamison found Geraldine at the bottom of the stairs, apparently having been pushed. Noel blackmailed Tracy into keeping quiet when she confessed to him that she had returned to reason with Geraldine, who had accidentally fallen in a struggle with her. Noel hoped that Kevin would be arrested for the crime, eliminating him as an heir to Geraldine's fortune, because Noel wanted it all for himself. When Geraldine appeared to becoming out of her coma and staring at him with disgust, he slipped into her hospital room and disconnected her respirator in an attempt to silence her for good. As it turned out, Noel had actually been responsible for the accident, Geraldine had been unharmed in the fall down the stairs, but after Tracy left the mansion, Noel returned and bludgeoned Geraldine.
When Tiffany finally discovered Noel's affair and murderous intentions in early 1976, she threw him out of the Whitney Mansion and instigated divorce proceedings. He quickly left town, but not before revealing to Tracy's husband Danny her past as a prostitute. One rainy afternoon in April 1976, while waiting in the office of attorney Warren Hubbell, Tiffany suddenly vanished. Her body was later found in an alley far below Hubbell's high-rise office window. At first the police speculated that she fell accidentally, but an examination of the window sill proved that it was too high for an accidental fall. Tiffany had either jumped, despondent over her divorce, or she had been pushed, possibly by Noel for revenge. The police investigated and established that Noel could not have killed her because witnesses placed him far away in Canada at the time Tiffany died.

Noel wishes Tracy "a world of luck" before her wedding to Danny.
