KENNETH BRYSON
FIRST APPEARANCE: February 1981
LAST APPEARANCE: July 1981
PERFORMER: James Hawthorne
EXIT: Died of a heart attack in prison.
SPOUSE: Beth Rexford Bryson.
RELATIVES: Valerie Bryson.
Dr. Kenneth Bryson owned The Rexford Institute, a renowned plastic surgery clinic located in East Meadow, a short drive from Monticello. Unknown to most, the Rexford was a haven for criminals seeking a new face to escape prosecution for their crimes or retribution from their enemies. When Nancy Karr stumbled upon criminal Ira Gideon awaiting surgery in the clinic, Dr. Byson was goaded into agreeing to hold her captive until Gideon received surgery and was healed. However, he quickly fell in love with Nancy. He hoped to save her from his jealous wife Beth, who wanted Nancy dead, and leave town with her. In June 1981, the police arrested Dr. Bryson and his cohorts. He was remanded to Redstone Prison to serve his sentence. He died there of a heart attack the following month. In addition to a sizeable fortune, he left Valerie a clue to one of his former patients, who turned out to be Jefferson Brown -now living in Monticello as Schuyler Whitney.
