COLIN WHITNEY
FIRST APPEARANCE: June 1970
LAST APPEARANCE: December 17, 1971
PERFORMER: Anthony Call
EXIT: Left Monticello for Washington, D.C.
SPOUSE: Tiffany Whitney (RIP).
FAMILY: Geraldine Whitney (mother). Gordon Whitney (father, RIP). Keith Whitney (brother, RIP).
OCCUPATION: United States senator.
In June 1970, the Whitney family returned to their ancestral home in the wealthy Claybank area of Monticello. Colin Whitney's campaign for United States senator consumed much of his time. He hired Ron Christopher as his public relations director only to later learn that Ron's relations had extended to Colin's bored, unhappy Tiffany. Colin forgave the two for their brief affair, and tried to salvage his political career, when, after he won the election, it was revealed that his brother Keith was a sociopath who had murdered multiple people, including Colin's campaign manager Neil Davenport. Before leaving to resume his duties in D.C., Colin vowed to make mental health issues one of his top priorities. Two years later, Colin died, along with father Gordon, in an off-screen boating accident. It was later revealed that their deaths had not been an accident, rather, they had been arranged by the same mob syndicate trying to thwart Adam Drake's political aspirations.
